MD Afsar Hussain
A mind juggling 80+ products, a decade of SAP architecture and 100+ workshops needs to catch a thought before it’s gone — then send it somewhere it can actually grow. Flocci Notes is MD Afsar Hussain’s quick-capture box wired to a wiki, a realtime spine and AI: a colour-coded card you scribble in seconds can graduate into a full Library page — with a live cross-link back — without retyping a word.
Why Flocci Notes exists
The founder’s best ideas arrive mid-workshop or mid-build — and the oldest failure in knowledge work isn’t losing them, it’s stranding them in a note app that knows nothing about the rest of your day. So Notes is fast, colour-coded capture that refuses to be a dead end: label it, turn it into a drag-to-reorder checklist, let AI compose flesh out the prose, and when a jotting outgrows the card a space picker promotes it straight into the Flocci Library wiki as a real hierarchical page — minting a cross-link so capture and documentation remember each other. Every edit rides out live over a notes:changed broadcast, so a note in motion updates in front of the team instead of on a poll delay.
The architect’s habit: build the hard part once
Notes is the smallest surface in the five-app Flocci Work Apps suite — yet it stands on the same infrastructure as the video-calling Calendar and the infinite-canvas whiteboard. Identity, the WebSocket realtime core, the Flocci Intelligence layer and the Flocci Graph event bus were each built exactly once in the shared platform backend, and every app inherits them; a humble four-table note app hand-rolls no auth, no realtime layer and no AI plumbing. That is not a note-app instinct — it is a decade-inside-SAP instinct. Building SAP Cloud ALM and BusinessObjects Cloud for millions of users across 100+ countries teaches you to solve identity, data and eventing once at the platform core and let every domain inherit, and Flocci Notes is that same discipline shrunk to a sticky note: one Flocci account, one “Continue with Google” sign-in, five apps behind a waffle switcher — Notes is the amber tile.
From SAP's enterprise core to 80+ products
A B.Tech from BIT Mesra and an M.Tech from BITS Pilani set the foundation for more than ten years as a senior engineer at SAP Labs India, on petabyte-scale data infrastructure serving enterprises worldwide. Then MD Afsar Hussain left to prove one architect could build an entire ecosystem on a single shared foundation: ERP, POS, HRMS, D2C, work apps and AI — every vertical launching in weeks, not years.
